Great News! We’re Staying Put!

Sara Lilly Lease Signing

Sara Ubelhart and Lily from Wilbur Property management at last week’s lease signing on 645 Bancroft Ave

Last week Sara Ubelhart successfully completed lease negotiations that will allow Zocalo Coffeehouse to stay in the building it has occupied for sixteen years! After a short period of renovation, we look forward to opening the doors to serve the same community that has made Zocalo a success

Thanks to everyone for your love and support. 645 Bancroft is just a building, but all of you make it Zocalo.

Please bear with us as we work diligently to get the shop back up and running.

We will keep you posted on our renovation progress.

Zocalo is Relocating

Another Beauty

We are moving locations and therefore we will be temporarily closed. If you still have credit remaining on your customer account, please contact us.

Beans are available throughout the duration of our relocation. They are available at Estudillo Produce, the Hayward Farmer’s Market, and by mail order.

We’ll be sure to update everyone here and on our FB page and look forward to seeing you soon!

Zocalo Must Move – lost lease

Zocalo B&W

Zocalo Coffeehouse is moving! We lost our lease and must go, but we’ll be back!

Our last day in our current location will be this coming Sunday, September 22nd. Don’t miss our big Zocalo Forever party that night at 7pm to celebrate the last 11 years!

Check it out here!

Don’t Miss Brian Copeland, Zocalo 7:30 tonight

Come see Brian Copeland at Zocalo tonight and support a film of his historic one man show: Not a Genuine Black Man.

You should go support this Kickstarter project right now!

The 2012 Holiday Blend is here!

Zocalo’s 2012 Holiday Blend is an incredibly velvety smooth and sweet light roast. The blend pairs well with any dessert and needs no sugar or cream to make it delicious. It’s unlike any coffee we’ve offered before. Available at $16.95/lb

Jamaica Blue Mountain is once again available for the holidays. This year’s crop is the best we’ve ever tried. Show your hosts or guests you really care… bring Jamaica Blue Mountain!

If you’re in need of a bit of extra boost, try our new blend – Mitch’s Brew. A light roast with the aromas and flavors of the Sonoran Desert – Cedar, Sage, Mesquite, and honey cornbread. It’s got a higher caffeine level than other coffees.

You can an airpot of any coffee ($15 each) or get beans to take along to ensure fresh coffee is on hand for Thanksgiving dinner.

Trick or Treat at Zocalo, Oct 31st, 3-5pm

Safe Treats, Safe Sweets 2012 is happening again this year.

Come by Bancroft and Dutton and trick or treat at over 30 stores. Join hundreds of kids and their parents and get your photo with a ghoul, decorate a candy skull, and check out the Alameda County firetruck and SLPD police motorcycle!
